Doctor Assaulted by Crowd After Hitting Cow in Uttar Pradesh: Four Charged

A doctor was assaulted by a crowd in Badaun’s Myau after his vehicle hit a cow. Police rescued him and charged four men, while confirming he had no alcohol in his system.

A medical officer was assaulted by a crowd in Badaun district’s Myau area after his Mahindra Scorpio hit a cow, resulting in the animal’s death. The incident took place around 2 p.m., after which locals allegedly dragged the doctor from his vehicle, tore his clothes and damaged the Mahindra Scorpio.

Police rescued the medical officer from the crowd and subsequently charged four men—Shekhar, Dharmendra, Netrapal and Dharmpal—with disturbing the peace.

The incident also triggered rumors that the doctor was under the influence of alcohol at the time. Police confirmed that no alcohol was found in his system, rejecting the claims.
